Our group dog training classes (for dogs over six months) are limited to six dogs per class to ensure the correct level of attention is paid to each dog and owner whilst reducing the amount of distraction.
No force, punishment or dominance techniques are used during our training. We provide ethical, force-free, reward based training using modern, scientifically proven methods. This style of training is perfect for rescue dogs and those with signs of nervousness and anxiety (click on IMDT logo for code of ethics).
Group classes consist of six, one hour sessions and include:
- Sit
- Down
- Stay
- Leave (or drop)
- Recall
- Loose lead walking
- Emergency stop/down
The criteria to the exercises listed above can be raised to make the training more challenging and practical. We also vary the style of the activities to make it more fun for the dog and the handler. We also provide training workshops in areas such as: scent work and tracking, agility and flyball activities, clicker training, tricks and games and much more.
Intermediate and advanced classes are also available.
