Our behaviourist at Beacon Dog Training is Alun Freeman. Alun has been working with dogs in varying roles since the mid 80′s but has been working as a full-time behaviourist/trainer for the past 10 years. Alun has qualifications in The Principles of Dog Training and Behaviour (level 3), and Understanding and Working with Canine Behaviour – Analysis and Application (level 5). Both of these qualifications have their academic level accredited by The Open College Network, London. Alun is also a member of the IMDT, IMDTB and the UK Dog Behaviour and Training Charter.
Alun has experience, and had success, in working with behaviours such as aggression towards other dogs or people, anxiety, fears or phobias, resource guarding, repetitive behaviours (light chasing, spinning), jumping up and many other behavioural problems?
Both you and your dog can benefit from our dog behaviour modification program. Only modern, scientifically proven methods are used during our training. Consultations and training are held at a suitable location, on a one-to-one basis in order to focus on the specific needs of you and your dog. The behaviour modification program includes:
